Sir Arthur Sullivan wrote many pieces for operettas but none was better received than the music to H.M.S. Pinafore. It had a terrific 700-night run once it opened and its popularity continues today. This arrangement is the Overture which captures many of the famous and tuneful themes found in that operetta.
